How to quickly remove Samba/Nautilus shares in Ubuntu?

Even though the Share Options in Nautilus GUI are removed, the shared folders may still be visible on the network. To remove the share completely/properly, open a terminal window, go to the folder:

/var/lib/samba/usershares

and remove the shared folder name with:

sudo rm <shared-folder-name>
